ABOUT ME

I am T L Higgins and the TL of the “Image By TL”. I have been interested in photography especially as an art form since my teen years. I did a lot in my younger years then life happened and I had gotten away from photography for a long time. I really enjoy working with the photos I have taken and creating an artistic image. I appreciate all art forms from paintings, poetry, music, photography, etc. I have gotten back into photography and my quest is to capture nature in its finest. During my adventures I occasionally come across abandoned farms, homes, etc. These places have a story to tell. Presenting those images here allow the viewer to imagine what they have to say.

I love taking the photos and creating images of beauty and images that are a bit eerie. I want the viewer to use their imagination to envision what was, or what could be. Rather it has historical significance, such the Oregon Trail and imagine the line pioneer wagons making the trek, or it is an abandoned WWII bomber base and the activities that once took place training the crews before being deployed to the European or the Pacific theaters. I explore the abandoned/pioneer cemeteries. These places have an amazing story to tell. Some are that of success of community leaders/founders along with stories of great sadness, as it shows the struggles the settlers endured in the 1800s. A lot of these places and people have been long forgotten and nature has all but taken over. I present these places so that they can still be remembered. These are the people of our heritage, the ones who started the communities in which live today.
